THE GOD THAT PERFORMETH ALL THINGS.
THE GOD THAT PERFORMETH ALL THINGS.
BY Evangeline Unity Esaaba Folson.
I will cry unto God most High, unto God that performeth all things for me.
Another translation of the verse above says; I will send up my own cry to the Most High God; to God who does all things for me.
There are two phrases in the verse above that needs elaboration or more explanation.
The Most High God
- Psalm 97:9
- Revelation 7:7-10
Who does all things for me
- Jeremy ah 32:27
- Philippians 4:13.
THE MOST HIGH GOD
- PSALM 97:9
For thou, art high above all the earth, thou art exalted far above all gods. The verse above says God is exalted above all God’s. Meaning God is more powerful above all other gods. If God is powerful than all other gods then He can do all things even what seems impossible with men. Matthew 29:16 says; with men it is impossible but with God all things are possible.
To be exalted also means to be elevated in rank, power or character. This implies that God is higher in rank, power and character as compared to other gods. The other gods are quick to punishment when you disobey; but God is always prepared to give his own a second chance.
Other gods will kill you instantly when you disobey. That is why God is referred to as the “MOST HIGH GOD”. His ways and thoughts ate much higher than any human being or God. Isaiah 55:8 says “for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the Heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
The Message Bible Translation of the passage above says:
I do not thinks the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work. For as the sky soars high above the earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think.
What humans and other deities see as unpardonable or unforgivable, the Most High God sees as trivial. He does not give only a second chance. Some receive 4,5 or even 10 chances. God’s desire is that all men should be saved. His love for us is so deep. He is always willing to overlook our faults if we repent genuinely and ask for forgiveness. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 says, “who will have all men to be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth”. Salvation is more important to God than any other thing.
WHO DOES ALL THINGS FOR ME
- JEREMIAH 32:27
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too hard for me?
The verse above says there is nothing too harsh for God to do. Can you think of anything that seems impossible to you? If Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, then He can do it again not in line with any man’s desire to show that he is “powerful” or knows God more than anyone else or is closer to God than anyone else but in line with His own will and Sovereignty to show Himself as the Most High God. Psalm 64:10 says: Behold still and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the heaven. And I will be exalted in the earth.
- PHILIPPIANS 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Meaning I can successfully do things that are difficult and challenging because of the spirit of God in me that gives me the arale and strength to do it. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and shall direct your path.
God can perform all things for you if you trust Him completely as the verse above says. The Lord is faithful and never forsakes His own. Put all your trust in Him and He will never let you down.
Mediate on the words of the song below:
God never fails
He never fails
God never fails
He abides with me
He gives me victory
For God never fails
Just keep the faith
And never cease to pray
Just walk up right
Morning, noon, day and night
He’ll be there
He’ll be there
There is no need to worry
For God never fails.
