The steadfast Love of God never ceases

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness.
(Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV)
The verses above describes the nature or magnitude of God’s Love and mercy for His Children. God’s love is very deep and surpasses all other kinds of love. Theology describes three major kinds of love.
AGAPE (The Love of God which is greater and deeper than any other )
PHILLIO (Brotherly love, like the love between siblings )
EROS (Love between married people)
PHILLIO and EROS are based on conditions and feelings but AGAPE has no strings attached. God continues to love us even when we do respond to His Love.
The Love of God is steadfast and never ceases because
1. Nothing can separate us from the love of God.
Romans 8:35-37
2. It led to God giving us the ultimate sacrifice – His son Jesus
John 3:16, 1 John 4:9-10
3. It casts out fear
1 John 4:18-19
4. It helps us overcome the world
John 15:13, John 14:15-16
Nothing can separate us from the love of God
Romans 8:35-37
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? As it is writing for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
According to the passage above nothing can keep us away from the love of God. All the pain and suffering we might encounter cannot separate us from the love of God. Neither can any tricks or deception of the evil one keep us away from the love of God.
The love of God is always assured for us, it is renewed and intensify each day, strong enough to shield us from any misfortune.
It Led to God giving us the ultimate sacrifice – His Son Jesus
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who so ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
1 John 4:9
In this is manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten son into the world , that we might live through him. Being able to sacrifice his beloved and only begotten son to save mankind is the greatest act of love in history. To sacrifice so much for people who do not reciprocate your love but keep on disobeying your command and instructions is unheard of.
Yet because God is faithful He keeps on loving and protecting us.
1 John 4:18-19
There is no fear in love but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him because He first loved us.
Fear hath torment as the verse above says. But the love of God helps us overcome our fears. If God was able to sacrifice so much to save you then there is nothing he cannot do. He can help you overcome your fears by comforting you and assuring you of His presence with you wherever you go.
(Matthew 28:20)
Lo, l an with you always, even into the end of the world.
It helps us overcome the world
John 14:15-16
If ye love me keep my commandments. And I will pray the father, and He shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.
Having the Holy Spirit as your comforter can help you overcome any obstacle in your way. He will give you the grace and strength to overcome whatever you can face or think of.
Conclusion
God’s love for you is genuine and everlasting. Surrender your life to Him and become a born again Christian. Then you can enjoy all the blessings and benefits that come with this AGAPE LOVE.
